EDWIN HO is a Singaporean director-writer based in New York and Paris. He graduated from Columbia University’s MFA Film Directing program. His last short 1056 Metres was presented by the Lincoln Center during its New York Asian Film Festival as part of the Emerging Asian Filmmaker Showcase; and also for its Diversity & Inclusion Film Festival. He is currently developing his first feature film There Is Only One Season that is set in contemporary Singapore. It won the FEST Film Lab Award at the FEST - New Directors New Films Pitching Forum.
Previously, he had also worked in a NYC based studio as a VR director-producer. The VR works he created had won accolades, working with clients such as the US Air Force, International Rescue Committee, Swarovski, Vanity Fair, to name a few. He also serves as a mentor with NY.SG, a Singaporean-led initiative to help Singaporean creatives further themselves beyond Singapore, to New York and more. He is also the the founder of Diversity Apéro Club in Paris, a social club to empower diversity and inclusion and to bring more of these representations to all facades of Parisian life.
He tends to like character driven minuscule stories of everyday urban life and reflections. For him, making a film is to create an emotional journey re-lived, through visual storytelling. He currently splits his time between NY and Paris, where his husband and Shiba-Inu reside.
